RM / RC-M:

  • Precision solid machined crimp snap-in pin and socket for heavy duty top performance requirements in size 16 (.0625″ / 1,6 mm diameter)
  • Size: 30 to 14 AWG – 0,005 to 2,5 mm²
  • Termination: Crimp, solder- or PCB-termination, Wire Wrap, special contacts
  • Current rating: 13 Ampere
  • Plating: gold or tin over nickel
  • Color coded for different wire sizes

SM / SC-M:

  • Two piece strip formed crimp snap-in pin and sockets in size 16 (.0625″ / 1,6 mm diameter)
  • Size: 26 to 14 AWG – 0,13 to 2,0 mm²
  • Termination: crimp termination
  • Current rating: 13 Ampere
  • Plating: gold or tin over nickel

RMDX / RCDX:

  • Size 16 RMDX/RCDX Multipiece .0625″ (1,6 mm) diameter contacts are subminiature coaxial contacts to cover a wide range of subminiature coaxial and twisted pair cables
  • Multipiece or Monocrimp layout
  • for Coax cables RG161, RG178, RG179, RG188
  • Plating: gold over nickel

Fibre optic:

  • Size 16 (1,6mm) pin and socket fibre optic contacts series 8012 are optical contacts designed for the integration of optical links in all TRIM TRIO® cable connectors
  • Plastic Optical Fibre (POF): 1mm core and 2.2mm jacket
  • Plastic Clad Fibre (PCF): 230 µm core and 2.2mm jacket
  • Multimode Silica Fibre: 50/125 µm type 1.5mm (or 900ìm) jacket
  • Socket contact is spring loaded to avoid any air gap between the two optical faces

  • Termination: Crimp or PCB termination

  • Plating: gold over nickel

SM / SC-W:

  • Two piece strip formed crimp snap-in pin and sockets in size 20 (.040″ / 1,0 mm diameter)
  • Size: 26 to 20 AWG – 0,13 to 0,5 mm²
  • Termination: Crimp termination
  • Current rating: 5 Ampere
  • Plating: gold over nickel

8291 (high power):

  • Machined formed Pin and Socket contacts with snap-in pin for heavy duty top performance requirements
  • Contacts in Size 12: 20 to 14 AWG – 0,5 to 2,5 mm²
  • Contacts in Size 8: 16 to 8 AWG – 1,5 to 10 mm²
  • Current rating: 26 Ampere for Contacts in Size 12 / 44 Ampere for Contacts in Size 8
  • Plating: gold or silver over nickel for Contacts in Size 12 / gold over nickel for Contacts in Size 8

The flagship of Eaton’s industrial connectors!

TRIM TRIO® connectors were originally sold under the brand name “BURNDY”. These were derived from MIL standards, but size 16 (1.6mm) contacts were used.
Later, various sub-series and design-variants were developed from the product ranges.
In parallel with the size 16 contacts, there also has been an evolution on high density versions using size 20 contacts (1.0mm) and on mixed signal / power versions using size 16 contacts in combination with size 12 (2.4mm) and size 8 (3.6)mm contacts.

After the companies BURNDY, Eaton and other companies were bought from Framatome Connectors International (FCI), a few years later the present Eaton was again established as an independent company in the context of a management buy-out (MBO) and a reorganization of the product ranges. Since then, the TRIM TRIO® connector series has belonged to Eaton, whereas other former BURNDY products (including cable lugs) have remained in the FCI range and are now integrated into the Hubbell group of companies.
